    Spirit Mother

    w/ Spoon Benders, Help

    3/17/2023 at The Airliner

    21+

Spirit Mother is a heavy-psych drenched, American rock band originally from Long Beach, CA, but relocated to an isolated ranch house in the high-desert of Eastern Oregon.

The band received critical praise for their first album, Cadets (“a distinct chance we’ll look back on this as an early gem from a band going places” - Sleeping Shaman) and continued with a series of cool output including covers of Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows“ and also of Roky Erickson’s “Cold Night For Alligators”; the latter released as part of their Live at Volcom Studios EP.

In 2020 Spirit Mother were tapped for a pandemic project to create a live record/concert film in the style of Pink Floyd’s Live at Pompeii. Fans and critics worldwide revered the band’s performance in Live In The Mojave Desert Volume 3 which was released by Giant Rock Records and Heavy Psych Sounds Records. “Spirit Mother really go for it with a killer set. One that has energy, unique flavour and seems to fit so perfectly within the desert environment. If you didn’t know who Spirit Mother were before seeing this show, there’s no way anyone is forgetting them anytime soon. Brilliant." - GBHBL.com

Flyte will release their brand-new album, This Is Really Going To Hurt, on the 9th of April. This will be Flyte’s second album and features the previously released songs: Easy Tiger, Losing You, I’ve Got a Girl as well as the brand new, Under The Skin. This album beautifully weaves together complex and rich vocal arrangements and melodies, with lyrics steeped in literary imagery.

‘This is really going to Hurt’ follows up from their debut album The Loved Ones which was acclaimed by The Sunday Times as “The Best British debut album of the year” and is set to cement the band as refreshingly mature and exceptionally talented.
